The 25th Annual California Charter School Conference will be held at the San Diego Convention Center located at 111 W Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA 92101, March 26-28, 2018.

What will I learn?

The mission of the California Charter Schools Conference (CCSA) is to inspire academic excellence, operational integrity and unity among charter schools throughout California. The annual event connects charter school experts from across the country who lead sessions on everything from balancing your budget, obtaining a new facility and creating a safe school environment to building a productive and excellent board and advocating for your school on the local, state and federal level.

This is not a great time of year for me to be incurring expenses. When do I actually have to pay my conference registration bill?

In order to postpone payment, please register using a purchase order number. Once your registration has been processed, you will receive an invoice for your total registration fees. However, the bill will not be due until after the conference in March 2018.

When should I arrive at the conference?

The conference begins with the Opening Plenary Session at 1:30 pm Monday, March 26, 2018.

When does the conference end?
[ + ]

The conference ends at 4:00 pm Wednesday, March 28, 2018 with the Closing Plenary session starting at 2:45 pm

Where will the conference take place?

Unless stated otherwise, all conference activities will take place at the at the San Diego Convention Center located at 111 W Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101.

What is the Exhibit Hall Raffle game?

Participate in our exhibit hall raffle to network with exhibitors and for your chance to win amazing prizes. To participate, fill out the coupons in the book that will be provided in your registration bag. Swing by the booth of the exhibitors you want to hear more about, drop off your coupon and you've got a chance to win the exciting prize listed on the coupon. The deadline to submit coupons is 12:15 pm. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, March 28 at 1:30 p.m.

What are the Exhibit Hall Expos?

Expos are made up of poster sessions and a few breakout sessions that are hosted in the exhibit hall presentation areas and are organized around a broad topic or audience. These sessions are informal presentations that provide additional opportunities for speakers and attendees to interact. Check online or in the mobile app for specific days and times.

What are the Exhibit Hall Coffee Breaks?

The exhibit hall coffee breaks provide a great opportunity to network with colleagues and enjoy all that the exhibit hall has to offer! Visit exhibitors to learn how they can serve the unique needs of your school and stop by the CCSA booth to learn more about the important work of the association. Meet and network with other attendees all while enjoying coffee!

I am also receiving correspondence from the National Charter Schools Conference. Is that the same conference?

No, they are two separate events. The Annual CCSA Conference is much more focused on the California charter school movement. The 25th Annual CCSA Conference will be held at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA, March 26-28, 2018.

Onsite Information

Where do I go to pick up my badge or register for the conference?

Registration is located in Lobby E of the San Diego Convention Center.

I need first aid. Where do I go?
[ + ]

First aid services will be available for the duration of the event. The First Aid Station is located near Ballroom 20 by the Coat Closet area.

I'm a nursing mother. Are there facilities on site I can use to nurse?
[ + ]

We have provided a private space for breastfeeding mothers including a refrigerator for storage of milk if necessary. Please respect the privacy of breastfeeding mothers and do not use this space for any other purpose.The Mother’s room is located in the Lobby E Women’s Restroom.

Is there a place to check my luggage?

Yes, luggage check will be available outside the registration lobby on Wednesday, June 28 from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

When can I visit the exhibit hall?
[ + ]

The expo hall will be open from 9:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2018 and from 9:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018.

Are meals provided at the conference?

Meals are provided for lunch on Tuesday, March 27 and Wednesday, March 28 in the Exhibit Hall.
