School-Wide Mental Health Screening

,
Long Beach Convention Center, 101B

At least 1 in 7 students will experience a mental health disorder this year. The average delay of 11 years between first symptoms and diagnosis /treatment negatively impacts students, families, schools, and communities. With 50% of all mental illness occurring by age 14, middle and high schools play a significant role in identifying and referring students to care through annual mental health screening - promoting the capacity to learn and overall safety at school.
