The Importance, Relevance and Streamlined Approach for WASC accreditation

WASC’s streamlined approach to the Self-Study will assist schools in taking a deeper dive into data analysis and what is important and relevant in moving the academic and social emotional program forward. Liz will give examples of how to streamline the report for it to be a reflective process which will show strengths and areas of growth as it relates to all aspects of a learning community. Liz will give examples of how to use technology within the Self-Study and during the in person, hybrid or virtual visit.

Elizabeth Oberreiter joined ACS WASC in 2015 and currently serves as Vice-President for Domestic Accreditation. Elizabeth has over 36 years of experience in education and has served in various capacities throughout her career. Elizabeth’s experience has helped schools in strategic planning, recruitment, curriculum, instruction, marketing and data analysis. Her knowledge of the WASC process has helped schools understand school improvement, increasing student achievement, and using the schoolwide learner outcomes as a tool for teaching and learning. Her passion for the WASC process is evident during accreditation visits as well as in her interactions with colleagues, schools, and educators.
