Meeting Middle Schoolers Where They Are At: Inclusive Classroom Approaches
Dive into a hands-on workshop on fostering an inclusive middle school community. At a time when mental health crises are impacting students, the Roots class at Citizens of the World Charter Schools focuses on creating an inclusive environment where students can be their authentic selves. Through a mix of classroom-based activities, design deep-dives and reflections from educators, participants will learn how to develop an inclusive school culture at the middle school level that meets students where they are, and fosters an environment of belonging.
