Kirsten's role focuses on organizational health, communications and authorizer relations As a parent of two charter school alumni, she has been a long time charter school advocate. Her efforts to advocate for underserved students combine the experience she received with numerous non-profits with her personal passion for providing high quality educational choices for students and teachers. Her primary volunteer passion for the past 25+ years has been the Gilroy Garlic Festival, where, as a past president she still serves as an active volunteer. As a graduate of Virginia Tech she is a proud Hokie and an even prouder mom.
