Supporting Indigenous Students in Charter Schools

More than half of the identified American Indian students in Los Angeles attend a charter school. Our charter community has much to learn to serve Indigenous students most effectively. Learn ways to effectively support Indigenous students by better identifying and understanding their educational, cultural, and linguistic needs and talents.

As part of the Regional Advocacy team, Keith leads policy and advocacy efforts to support member schools' interests across Los Angeles County in the areas of charter school authorization, growth, renewals, funding equity and facilities advocacy. Keith works closely with charter operators and local elected officials to maximize the positive impact of charter schools in the region.
