Panel: Centering Black Students' Experience in the Journey from K-12 to Higher Education
Celebrating Talents, Addressing Inequities, and Paving the Way for Success
Black students bring great talents, joy and cultural contributions to their classrooms. They also unfortunately bear the brunt of systemic inequities, racism and lack of access to rigor & needed supports to prepare for success in college and career. In this panel, charter school and higher education leaders with deep expertise in supporting Black student success will inspire our audience to reimagine how charter schools, in partnership with higher ed, can better provide opportunity and agency for Black students.
Hart Vision Teacher of the Year and Rachel Willis-Henry Volunteer of the Year awards will be announced during this general session.
