Attendees will learn risk trends charter schools face and the insurance needed to protect students, staff, and property. Learn about common insurance terminology, coverages, certificates, and risk transfer. We will review insurance requirements in lease and vendor agreements and certificates of insurance. You will hear real life claim stories that occurred and how these coverages responded. Attendees will have a good overview of how the proper insurance financially protects their assets.

Bettina has 37 years in the insurance industry focused on claims leadership and account management in the public entity sector. As an employee of GE capital for over 15 years, she gained experience in writing insurance policies, facilitative leadership, and is a six-sigma black belt. She served 13 years as SVP for a national TPA leading the public entity segment delivering services that focused on saving clients on their overall cost of risk. Bettina currently serves as Managing Director for member services and operations at CharterSAFE. Bettina earned her BS degree in business administration and marketing at CSU Sacramento.
