Dr. Jiayuan Fang has been the founder and CEO of Afficient Academy, Inc. since 2014. Before that, he served as the Vice President of R&D at Cadence Design Systems for two years. Prior to joining Cadence, Dr. Jiayuan Fang was the founder and CEO of Sigrity, Inc. Dr. Jiayuan Fang received his Ph.D. from University of California at Berkeley. From 1990 to 2002, he has been an Electrical Engineering faculty at SUNY Binghamton and UC Santa Cruz. He is the recipient of IEEE Technical Excellence Award and NSF Young Investigator Award, and granted 7 US patents.
