Fast-Moving Changes in Federal Law and Policy: A Street-Level View

It's challenging to track the hard-hitting federal policy changes and disruptions since January 2025, many from the White House. We have seen significant impacts, twists, and turns in the areas of immigration enforcement, USDOE cuts, DEI, religion-in-schools, and "Dear Colleague" letters. Grants canceled, students and families detained, and programs shuttered — what's next? This session will take a practical view of the changes affecting charter operators on the ground right now, discuss what might be next, and explore what you can do to protect your school.
