Anthony Serrao’s practice focuses on labor and employment law, including advising employers on issues related to wage and hour laws, leaves of absence, disability accommodations, investigations, grievances, employment contracts, policy development, and STRS/PERS matters. Anthony has appeared in numerous forums in defense of public employers, including the Department of Fair Employment & Housing, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Public Employment Relations Board, State Personnel Board, and private arbitration pursuant to collective bargaining agreements. Anthony has also defended public employers before the Superior Court and the Court of Appeal in employment-related litigation.

Chastin Pierman has exclusively represented charter schools in California since 2005. Chastin’s practice covers all aspects of labor and employment law, including serving as a negotiator for school boards throughout California. Chastin frequently works before California’s Public Employment Relations Board in all matters related to unions and charter schools, in particular responding to union organizing campaigns, defense of Unfair Practice Charges, and impasse matters. Chastin has also served as chief negotiator on many of the first labor agreements for charter schools in California.
