Samantha Matamoros is Chief People Officer at Green Dot, leading the Human Capital and HR departments. She joined Green Dot in 2005 as a Spanish teacher at Ánimo Venice Charter High School, where she worked for ten years as teacher, assistant principal, and principal. In 2015, she became Director of Human Capital. Samantha started her education career teaching at Environmental Charter High School in Lawndale. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish literature and public policy from UCLA and a master’s degree from Loyola Marymount University.
