Rachel Willis-Henry Volunteer of the Year Award

In honor of our CCSA staff member, Rachel Willis-Henry, who passed in late 2019, CCSA renamed the Volunteer of the Year award the “Rachel Willis-Henry Volunteer of the Year” award. Rachel, who first came to charters as a parent volunteer and advocate and later joined CCSA on staff, worked tirelessly to champion students and support the schools that serve them. In her memory, CCSA honors the many charter volunteers who selflessly support their charter communities to ensure all students thrive and excel.

Goals of the award are to

• Recognize and honor individuals who have selflessly volunteered their time, expertise, and energy to support their charter schools.
• Celebrate and elevate the volunteer actions and contributions that strengthen and support the charter community.

Deadline

The nomination deadline is 11:59 p.m. PST Friday, October 21st, 2022.

A volunteer can be nominated by anyone from a California Charter Schools Association member school community.
