Supporting Students Experiencing Homelessness through the Community Schools Strategy
In this session, we will focus on how the four pillars of the community schools strategy provide critical support to students experiencing homelessness, ensuring they have the resources and services needed to succeed academically and personally. We will discuss the role of teachers and practices for building strong partnerships with families, local organizations and social services to create a comprehensive support system for these students. Additionally, there will be dedicated time for networking, allowing practitioners to share strategies, insights, and experiences to strengthen their work in supporting students experiencing homelessness and fostering a more inclusive educational environment.
