Relationship is Everything: Simple Shifts to Engage Families Authentically

Partnership with parents and families is vital to student success. Research shows that when parents are involved at school, the performance of all the children at school, not just their own, tends to improve. At the heart of any partnership is relationships. Participants in this session will learn how simple shifts in existing structures at a school can move the needle in building trusting relationships and increase family engagement. Participants in this interactive session will leave with protocols, tools, and resources to take and immediately implement in their own settings.

Parent Leader
Rocklin Academy Gateway
I have been volunteering over the years since my son was in TK at Rocklin Academy Gateway in various forms. He is going into 6th grade this year and my daughter will be in 4th. I've served on the executive board of our PSP (Parent School Partnership) and I am excited to share the knowledge gained through my recent 2 year involvement with CEI (Community Engagement Initiative). I've been married 16 years and I am very grateful for my "village" that allows me the time to give back to our school. Go Gators!
