Numerous state agencies and officials have intensified efforts on charter fraud and financial mismanagement (e.g., State Controller, Legislative Analysts Office, and Charter School Authorizing Professionals Anti-Fraud Task Force.) These agencies have recommended significant changes to prevent fraud and other financial crimes in charter schools.
