Independent Study Compliance Update

This session is a crash course on independent study compliance.  Attendees will learn updates to independent study laws during the last four years, including Assembly bills 130, 167, 181, 176, and SB 153. We will discuss the path an auditor will likely take in audits of independent study for the 2024-25 school year, options for documentation of each requirement, and learn to protect against loss of ADA. In addition, how to avoid audit findings and the loss of state funding based on failure to comply with independent study laws.
