Pre-Con Workshop: A Deep Dive into the 2025-26 LCAP

Deep-Dive workshops are 4-hour pre-conference workshops on Monday March 10 that allow for long-format conversations and programming. These are only open to CCSA members. Because space is limited, advanced sign-ups are required. Tickets are $75 and include lunch.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This intermediate/advanced session is tailored for Charter School Leaders, School Administrators, School Leadership Teams, CFOs/COOs, and/or LCAP Development Teams.

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW:
Dive deep into creating an effective Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) that tells your school's story and meets CA EC compliance requirements. This hands-on session will equip you with practical strategies and updated knowledge of state requirements as it applies to Charter Schools to develop a high quality LCAP.

KEY TOPICS

  • Comprehensive Strategic Planning and Integration of your LCAP and Schoolwide/ Organization-Wide programming
  • Comprehensive Needs assessment requirements for Title Funding, SB153, LREBG, TSI, ATSI, CSI, DA, & EM, etc.)
  • Integration and Aligning CSI, ATSI, TSI, and Differentiated Assistance (DA) Plan requirements into your LCAP
  • Student group requirements - including the Long Term English Learner (LTEL)
  • Addressing additional requirements for Equity Multiplier Schools (EMF)
  • Wht is an Evidence-Based Intervention (EBI)? When is this required?
  • What is a resource inequity? (Required for ATSI)
  • Meaningful engagement of educational partners: What does this look like?
  • Ingegrating multiple plans (Strategic Plan, WASC Action Plan, SPSA) into your LCAP
  • What rules apply to Title I Charter Schools choosing to use their LCAP as their SPSA
  • Financial Reporting: LCFF Action Tables & Budget Overview for Parents (BOP)
  • Reporting S&C Carryover Funds
  • Common mistakes and fiscal findings on Charter School LCAPs

Participants should bring their school's current LCAP for this working session. The workshop includes dedicated time for questions and practical application of concepts covered.
