He is also a former finance attorney representing many of the nation's largest banks and consulting with K-12 schools to navigate their funding needs. He spends his weekends coaching little league, and can't help but to sprinkle in some Moneyball strategies.James J. McGrath, J.D., M.A., is a financial attorney with a focus on the Employee Retention Credit, having advised schools across 27 states. Mr. McGrath is also the Founding Director of IVA High, which equips students to think well: critically, creatively, and with a capacity for self-growth. His education background includes work as a high school teacher, charter school board officer, and college faculty member. He earned his undergraduate degree from U.C. Berkeley, a Master’s in Philosophy of Education at U.C. Irvine, and a J.D. from UCLA School of Law.
