La Lucha: Getting Schooled in America
La Lucha is a documentary that follows the journey of five students trying to survive in an environment stricken by poverty, crime, dismal resources and inadequate education opportunities. Despite facing obstacles that many of us cannot even imagine, they understand that graduating high school is their best chance to rise above their fate. Can changing the delivery method of education to a student – versus making the student fit in a one-size-fits-all box – really make the difference?
