Caitlyn Herman is the Chief Academic Officer at Summit Public Schools. She joined the Summit team in 2011 as a science teacher before transitioning to a founding director at Summit Public Schools: Shasta in Daly City and later to head of schools for the Summit network. Caitlyn began her career in New York City public schools. While teaching, she worked as an adjunct professor at NYU teaching science education. Caitlyn holds a bachelors degree from Lafayette College, a masters degree from NYU in science ed and a masters degree in leadership from New England College.
