Shannon Garfield serves as the CEO of SELF. She brings experience as an educator and school leader supporting programs for learners across the country. Shannon served as an Assistant Superintendent at Achievement First and as Senior Director of Special Services supporting nearly forty schools across Connecticut, New York, and Rhode Island. She started her teaching career in Philadelphia after a career change as a professional dancer. Shannon loves to travel and hike with her partner and two-year-old son.
