Empowering Teachers: Strengthening Tier 2 Instruction through MTSS

This session will explore how schools can increase teacher capacity within the Multi Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) by strengthening Tier 2 instruction. Participants will learn strategies to identify students needing targeted support, explore evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions, and develop systems for collaborative planning. Through case studies and interactive activities, educators will leave equipped with actionable tools to support effective Tier 2 implementation, enhancing student outcomes.

Elika leads a culturally responsive, data-driven team focused on leveraging emerging technologies, fostering digital literacy, and promoting project-based, experiential learning. She holds advanced degrees, including a Master's in Elementary Education and Educational Administration, and has been a school leader in both Massachusetts and California.

As MTSS Coordinator, Sara plays a crucial role in implementing and overseeing a multi-tiered system of support, ensuring all students receive the targeted interventions they need to thrive academically and socially. Holding a Master's degree in Educational Leadership, her strong foundation of knowledge and best practices and understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities presented by the charter school environment drives her commitment to supporting teachers in developing innovative and effective practices that empower students.
